We are Ellen and Jon Edmondson, parents of a highly intuitive child. You can see some of our story in the videos below. However, our story is not unique. There are many children like this with abilities and capabilities to varying degrees. All of them require and deserve a special level of care, support, and guidance.

This project is a labor of love, compassion, and deep passion to provide support and resources to parents of highly intuitive children between the ages of 2-17 years old.  Born out of a deep desire to pave a better way for all highly intuitive kids who “march to the beat of their own drum” and their support network that cares for them. All of the contributors to this effort are supporters of highly intuitive kids.

 

Jon and I know what it’s like to need parenting assistance and support and not know where to go. Parenting intuitive kids definitely requires a unique set of parenting skills. We first noticed our son's unique experiences when he was 2 years old and just starting to talk more clearly. He began telling us about experiences he had when he was older--in a previous lifetime--the details were too specific and clear to be from the imagination of a 2 year old. He also began telling us about his interactions with deceased loved ones. We were not sure how to handle this. As he got older, his intuitive abilities became more pronounced. We didn't understand how to help our son and we were also trying to figure out how to deal with my increasing abilities as well which started after the death of my Mom when our son was 3 1/2 months old.  So...we stayed quiet and hid our unique experiences.

It all came to a very challenging point when our son at 8 years old was bullied at school for being different. He was talking about intuitive experiences that none of his school mates could relate to and was behaving in ways others didn't understand. He is an empath who takes on the energy of the people and environment around him. We didn't know what to do, where to go, or how to help him the way he needed--a child with heightened intuitive and empathic abilities.

As fate would have it, we became aware of an opportunity to be mentored on the 2019 A&E Psychic Kids show. We applied and were accepted.  Our son was featured in the premiere episode called "Ghost in the Bed" in August 2019. In January 2022, he was also featured in an Inside Edition digital story about kids with psychic abilities.  (See videos below)

These two experiences have given us a platform to help raise awareness about kids with unique abilities. We were fortunate with our son, however, not every parent and child gets these types of opportunities. Heightened intuition and empathy are more common than most people think. There are children with heightened intuition and empathy who are also gifted in the arts, kinetics, spiritually, as well as psychically.

Not wanting others to go through what we went through.  We created this website as a helpful source of information that provides parenting support, resources, and a community so you don't have to struggle like we did and so many others do in silence. We want you to know—YOU ARE NOT ALONE. 

Our goal is to continually raise awareness about these often misunderstood kids. We want to supply families and others who make up a child’s support system with the necessary resources to help them understand these kids. They deserve the type of unconditional love, care, support, and guidance needed to flourish and grow from toddler to teen fully connected to their intuitive and empathic abilities. Eventually, they will become well-adjusted, highly intuitive and empathic adults who influence the world in their own unique ways.
