December is filled with moments of wonder—twinkling lights, shared traditions, and a sense of magic that’s hard to miss. For families with highly intuitive children, this season is a beautiful opportunity to nurture their unique gifts while helping them stay balanced and connected to their inner calm.

Children with strong intuition often feel the holidays more deeply. They may pick up on the emotions of others, notice the energy in the room, or sense the excitement (and stress) swirling around them. This sensitivity is a gift, but it can also make the season feel overwhelming at times. That’s where we, as their guides, come in.

Finding the Beauty in the Little Moments

December doesn’t have to be about doing more—it’s about being present with what already is. Encourage your child to take a step back and notice the little things that bring joy: the soft glow of candles, the sound of laughter during family time, or the comfort of a warm blanket on a chilly night.

These moments are grounding and help your child stay connected to themselves, even when the world feels busy. By sharing these simple joys with them, you’re teaching them how to find beauty and peace no matter what’s happening around them.

Teaching the Joy of Giving

Highly intuitive children often have big hearts. They’re naturally drawn to acts of kindness and feel deeply when they see others in need. Use this season as a chance to help them explore the joy of giving—not just through presents, but through thoughtful actions and gestures.

Whether it’s making holiday cards, baking treats for a neighbor, or simply sharing kind words with someone who might need them, these acts of love teach your child, no matter their age, the power of spreading light. As they give, they’ll discover that kindness has a way of coming back to them in ways they might not expect.

Celebrating Who They Are

Sometimes, our children need a little reminder of how special they are. In the rush of the season, take time to acknowledge their unique qualities—their creativity, their compassion, and the way they see the world so differently from others.

Let them know that their intuition is a strength, not something to shy away from. Encourage them to embrace their light and share it with the world, whether it’s through their ideas, their imagination, or simply by being themselves.

Creating Calm and Connection

The holidays can be overstimulating for all of us, but especially for highly intuitive children. Balance the excitement with moments of calm—like reading together by the fire, taking a quiet walk outdoors, or spending time journaling or creating. These moments help them process their experiences and recharge.

This December, let’s focus on what really matters: helping our children feel seen, supported, and loved for who they are. By creating space for their gifts to flourish, we’re giving them the tools to shine brightly during the holidays and long after the season has passed.

Wishing you and your family a holiday season filled with love, light, and the joy of simply being together.
